Two more people are now in custody in connection with a robbery at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to police.
A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.
The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.
A three-year-old girl was one of the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.
Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the scene. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.
Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several individuals hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.
The attack - which police said was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
